Despite weather forecasts of 100% chance of rain (it miraculously stopped right before the performances), civic officials called this the largest event on Fountain Square in years!
What people are saying:
“I just attended the Celebrate As One festival on Fountain Square. Bravo! What a fantastic event and a terrific addition to the Downtown and Fountain Square calendar! Congratulations on a great day. I hope you will consider hosting another event in the future on the Square!” - Conrad Thiede, President, Downtown Residents Council.
“On behalf of the Indian American community of greater Cincinnati, I want to congratulate the organizers and volunteers for the WONDERFUL celebration of 60 years of independence of Israel. The multicultural music festival "Celebrate as one" was most enjoyable, professionally organized and presented the message of "unity in diversity". Volunteers were very friendly, helpful and food was delicious.
We congratulate Israel and its wonderful people including the Jewish Council leaders of greater Cincinnati on this independence day for promoting democracy, your many accomplishments and leadership to improve the quality of life in greater Cincinnati as well as make the world a better place.” - J.K.Bhattacharjee, Oxford,Oh
“The Israel @60 event was unlike anything I have been to in town—not only was it a smashing success in terms of the way these things are usually measured (attendance, fun, etc.), but more importantly, our people were swelling with pride. There was enormous pride of living in Cincinnati, of being Jewish, and of being part of the community…I believe this event was a significant moment in Cincinnati history.” - Mark Rothschild, CEO, Jewish Community Center of Cincinnati
